LEVEL 1 EVENTS SPACE
BALTIC’s largest event suite is located on level 1. Stretching out across a whole floor of the gallery, it offers the grandeur and scale of an exhibition. The main room with its white walls and pinewood floors can be dressed to impress and is available for corporate hires, workshops and conferences.  Other events have included large scale TV broadcasts, fashion shows and product launches. 

The suite comprises of the main auditorium, large reception entrance and orientation space, a 54 seat cinema and a small meeting area known as the Cube.  The cinema, the Cube and reception spaces can be hired independently of the other Level 1 facilities.  Level 1 is also fully equipped technically, with a full audio, video and specialist lighting rig. 

RIVER TERRACE
Our River Terrace is a world apart from other event spaces suites. With an enviable location on BALTIC’s ground floor mezzanine level, overlooking the River Tyne, the event space and exclusive terrace are ideal for corporate events and with a fully licensed bar and outdoor terrace it’s a great location for staff parties, private dining and conferences. 

MEETING ROOMS
BALTIC offers several unique and flexible spaces for meetings, interviews and workshops. Our modern meeting spaces are north and west facing, making the most of the landmark views over the River Tyne, Gateshead Millennium Bridge, Baltic Square and The Sage Gateshead. The rooms hold up to 40 reception style, 35 theatre style and 25 boardroom style.

BALTIC CAFE BAR
BALTIC’s Café Bar, situated on the ground floor, is the perfect venue for smaller events. An intimate setting, under the warm glow of designer lights, it looks out onto Baltic Square with a heated outdoor Terrace. The Café Bar is available after 7pm and can accommodate up to 150 guests.  Perfect for drinks receptions and business breakfast between 7.30am and 9.00am. 

SIX ROOFTOP RESTAURANT
Six is BALTIC’s spectacular rooftop restaurant, with stunning panoramic views across Gateshead and Newcastle. Understated and elegant, Six is the perfect venue for a variety of event types. We can accommodate 110 guests for a sit-down meal, 130 theatre style, or 200 for a standing, reception style event. There is no room hire charge for Six, but instead a minimum food and drink spend applies. Due to the volume of bookings Six receives, it is advisable to enquire about hiring Six at least six months prior to your event date.

SIX VIEWING BOX
Six Viewing Box is available for private hire at select times during the week. The floor to ceiling windows flood the room with light during the summer months and on an evening guests can see stunning views of the River Tyne’s famous bridges. A beautifully relaxing setting for drinks receptions or business breakfasts, it has a standing capacity of 40, however seated meals are generally not possible due to the size of the room.

LEVEL 5 VIEWING BOX
Level 5 Viewing Box (directly below Six Viewing Box) is a BALTIC gallery space with stunning panoramic views across the city and is available for private dining in the evening (up to 25 guests).
