BALTIC’s Library is free to use, open to all and a great place to find out more about art and design. This is the place to browse our collection of over 11,000 books or look through some of our magazines on contemporary art and design. There are also computers to watch over 300 videos and films on BALTIC exhibitions or access thousands of archive images and documents.
This relaxed drop-in area is open seven days a week during gallery opening hours (10.00-18.00 / Tuesdays 10.30-18.00). You don’t need an appointment to use the Library but booking is advised if you would like to access our full range of archive material. To book an appointment, contact BALTIC Programme Archivist and Librarian, Gary Malkin, via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 0191 440 4959.
You can search and browse an online record of all books in BALTIC Library using BALTIC+ Online Archive.
