BALTIC 39, a new cultural hub for contemporary art located on High Bridge in the heart of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, will open to the public on Friday 6 April 2012. This exciting venture is a collaboration between Newcastle City Council, Arts Council England, BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art and Northumbria University.

Everyone is welcome to drop into Quay. Located on Level 2, Quay is open 7 days a week; it is a fun and informal place where children, young people and their families can enjoy lots of activities as well as a location for showcasing work created with local schools and community groups.
There are areas to get messy, places to create and spaces to relax. Quay also hosts Busy B's, our free family activities every weekend. There’s no need to book simply drop in between 2-4pm to enjoy these fun, creative workshops.
