BALTIC 39 opening April 2012
BALTIC 39, a new cultural hub for contemporary art located on High Bridge in the heart of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, will open to the public on Friday 6 April 2012. This exciting venture is a collaboration between Newcastle City Council, Arts Council England, BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art and Northumbria University.
BALTIC Archive
BALTIC Archive contains a wealth ofinformation about the past, present and futureof BALTIC. Over 400 films let you discovereverything you may want to know aboutBALTIC, from history of the building todocumentaries about the exhibitions andinterviews with the artists.
The archive contains copies of BALTIC exhibition catalogues, publications, pre-opening materials, original floor plans, architectural information, press cuttings and 1000s of digital photographs.
BALTIC Archive items are catalogued and available to search and browse on an extensive online database, which also lists allof the books in BALTIC Library. A vast amount of this archive material can be viewed digitally online and a fuller selection can be viewed on computers in BALTIC Library.
