BALTIC 39 opening April 2012
BALTIC 39, a new cultural hub for contemporary art located on High Bridge in the heart of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, will open to the public on Friday 6 April 2012. This exciting venture is a collaboration between Newcastle City Council, Arts Council England, BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art and Northumbria University.
BALTIC Library
Open Daily 10.00-18.00 (Tuesdays 10.30-18.00) / FREE
BALTIC’s Library is free to use, open to all and a great place to dip further into art and design. This is the place to browse our collection of over 7,000 books or look through some of our magazines on contemporary art and design. There are also computers to watch over 300 videos and films on BALTIC exhibitions or access thousands of archive images and documents.
This relaxed drop-in area is now seven days a week during gallery opening hours. You don’t need an appointment to use the Library but booking is advised if you would like to access our full range of archive material.
