BALTIC 39 opening April 2012
BALTIC 39, a new cultural hub for contemporary art located on High Bridge in the heart of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, will open to the public on Friday 6 April 2012. This exciting venture is a collaboration between Newcastle City Council, Arts Council England, BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art and Northumbria University.

BALTIC hosts a series of Teacher Network Events which are a great way to keep up to date with what's going on in your region. Find out about events and projects, share ideas and practice and catch-up with likeminded colleagues in a relaxed setting. Click here for upcoming dates.
BALTIC Buddies is designed for teachers of ANY subject to support and encourage collaborative working within school.
For artist teachers wanting to further or re-establish their artistic practice, develop your personal and professional artistic practice with this flexible part-time MA course. The course enables artist educators, to further or re-establish their artistic practice within a supportive, innovative and creative environment, with tutorials and taught sessions on evenings and weekends at Northumbria University and at BALTIC.
This Award indicates the value and status we place on ARTIST TEACHERS at every level of education and within the field of Gallery Education.
The BALTIC Artist Teachers Award 2011 is Siobhan Verrall whose exhibition who was selected by Godfrey Worsdale, BALTIC Director and runs 8 Feb - 28 March 2012.
