MA Level
MA Fine Art And Education, two years, part-time
For artist teachers wanting to further or re-establish their artistic practice
Develop your personal and professional artistic practice with this flexible part-time MA course. The course enables artist educators, to further or re-establish their artistic practice within a supportive, innovative and creative environment, with tutorials and taught sessions on evenings and weekends at Northumbria University and at BALTIC. Applications are welcomed from artist educators working in secondary and primary schools, further and higher education, and visual arts education within galleries and museums settings. The MA Fine Art and Education is delivered by Northumbria University’s Fine Art Division in partnership with BALTIC.
A partial fee subsidy for this course is provided by the Training and Development Agency for Schools (TDA) via NSEAD as part of their Postgraduate Professional Development fund.

SUMMER SCHOOL for artist teachers
Tuesday 28th August – Thursday 30 August 2012
This three-day intensive course aims to further your enthusiasm for making art. The course will be a chance to explore the process of making art. Throughout the course, participants will have the opportunity to consider their own artistic practice and how it might be developed within a supportive and creative environment.
The summer school forms an essential component of the MA Fine Art and Education and is an exciting and innovative collaboration between Northumbria University and BALTIC. The fee for the summer school is paid by Northumbria for those students entering the MA. It is a great taster for those thinking about undertaking the MA in future years.
