BALTIC Young Photographers Competition

Coinciding with Parrworld, a major exhibition by world renowned photographer Martin Parr, Show Us A Secret is an exhibition of work by six young photographers. Responding to a brief set by Martin Parr, young people aged 14–18 were invited to photograph an aspect of NewcastleGateshead that has the ability to show secret lives, secret discoveries or bring an insight into local life.

We are delighted to present the winning photographs which were selected by Martin Parr. The images can also be viewed in the October issue of The Journal's Culture Magazine.

Show Us A Secret is presented as part of Juice — NewcastleGateshead's Festival for Children and Young People aged 0–18. The festival is a celebration of the creativity of children and young people and takes place from 22nd October – 8th November 2009 in venues and open air spaces across NewcastleGateshead.
