Marking our tenth birthday, BALTIC launches a new specially commissioned range of limited artist prints, BALTIC Editions. The donated works, all by artists who have exhibited previously at BALTIC, will go on sale in 2012 with proceeds helping support BALTIC’s exhibition and education programme.
This year, BALTIC turns ten and what a decade it has been. We have presented 179 exhibitions with artists from 50 different countries and welcomed over 4.5 million visitors. We need your help to satisfy this hunger. We ask that you consider donating £10, or whatever you can, to our Learning Fund, helping children, parents and grandparents alike to find personal connection with the artworks. View a full list and details on all of BALTIC's past exhibitions and then let us know your favorite exhibition and why. You can add a comment onto the noticeboard in BALTIC Lounge if you are planning a visit to BALTIC. BALTIC celebrated its tenth birthday with a party on Friday 22 June. Hundreds of people turned up for the special late night opening to get the first look at the summer season exhibitions by Mark Wallinger, Janet Cardiff and Richard Rigg. Late night drinks were served in River Terrace as guest DJ, Peter Brewis from Field Music spun tunes into the early hours.
