Thomas Scheibitz Gallery Workshop

Thomas Scheibitz Gallery Workshop
Suitable for EYES, KS 1&2 and SEN /

Pupils will explore the Thomas Scheibitz show ONE-Time Pad through looking, drawing, making and curating activities, working as individuals and in groups.

Exploring shape, colour, subject matter, inspiration and meaning, pupils will share opinions on, and offer critical judgments about, Scheibitz’s work.

Pupils will collect drawings, marks, motifs, signs and symbols that interest them in the work and use these to create a quick class installation inspired by the show.

After investigating the artist’s inspiration-archive, your children will curate their own selection of objects, making decisions on what’s in and what’s out.

This session is tailored to the needs of your group making it age appropriate for EYFS up to the top of Key Stage 2. It lasts 1 hour and is suitable for up to 35 pupils.

Check out our Primary Resources page, or loan our BALTIC Bags for ideas and activities for the rest of your visit.
