West Walls, Morden Tower, Newcastle upon Tyne

Join us for an evening of readings to celebrate Bloomsday, the day (16 June) which marks the life and work of the writer James Joyce, and which was the day on which his famous book Ulysses was set in 1904.  The day also marks 49 years of readings, poetry and performances at Morden Tower.

Heather Phillipson will read from her new book of poetry Instant-flex 718, newly published by Bloodaxe Books. Paul Becker will read Observations Regarding Bloom and other texts related to the idea of painting and writing. Phillipson’s solo exhibition opens at BALTIC on 21 June 2013.
