To coincide with the Jim Shaw exhibitions The Rinse Cycle and You think you own your stuff but your stuff owns you, we invite you to a special social evening at BALTIC 39 to watch two unique films with a beer/soft drink.

First up will be Jim Shaw’s The Initiation Ritual of the 360 Degrees 2007, a work from his ongoing investigations into the made up religion Oism, that uses dance, ritual and movement. Then, acclaimed architectural critic Reyner Banham’s 1972 BBC documentary on Los Angeles will be shown. Based on Banham’s seminal book Los Angeles: The Architecture of Four Ecologies, 1971 the film provides an intimate portrait of Shaw’s home city, an important inspiration to him and his contemporaries.

Continue the evening with dinner or drinks next door in The Stand Comedy Club and receive a special 10% discount voucher on food/drink.
