David Jablonowski

David Jablonowski's work which investigates the history and potential of communication in visual culture. His sculptures, films and installations explore cultural aesthetics, display systems and information transfer, from calligraphic manuscripts to TV advertising and the World Wide Web.

Fabrice Hyber

Fabrice Hyber (born Luçon, France 1961) is one of the most inventive and influential artists of his generation. Hyber’s continually evolving work includes painting, drawing and installation and is developed from a principle of echoes, in which each work is made in response to another.

David Maljkovic

This large scale exhibition of David Maljkovic (Rijeka Croatia, 1973) will present an overview which spans from his early work up to the present day and includes the Scene for New Heritage trilogy. This epic series of films brought critical attention to the artist.

Matt Calderwood

For his solo exhibition at BALTIC 39, his first in a public gallery in the UK, Matt Calderwood will create a series of ambitious new sculptures which explore decaying and collapsing systems and the impact of environment and process on simple everyday materials.

Riff/Rift

OPEN AT BALTIC 39, NEWCASTLE UNTIL 23 MAR 
RIFF/T is a group exhibition about painting, abstraction and representation taking place at BALTIC's project space atn BALTIC 39, Newcastle Upon Tyne. Divided into two sequential exhibitions, the component parts respectively focus upon the themes of the harmonious RIFF, and the discordant RIFT.
