Since 2008, Tykkä has been completing a trilogy of films: Victoria 2008, Airs Above the Ground 2010 and, most recently, Giant 2013, which has been co-commissioned by BALTIC.

A collaboration between Sara Barker and Ryder Architecture to produce an ambitious new sculptural work for BALTIC’s remodelled Level 2 gallery.

Thomas Bayrle

All-in-One is the first major survey exhibition of German artist Thomas Bayrle, a pioneer of Pop, seriality and Media Art. This exhibition, organised by WIELS Contemporary Art Centre, Brussels, spans the artist’s entire career, from his first painted kinetic machines to his most recent engine installations.

Riff/Rift

OPEN AT BALTIC 39, NEWCASTLE UNTIL 23 MAR 
RIFF/T is a group exhibition about painting, abstraction and representation taking place at BALTIC's project space atn BALTIC 39, Newcastle Upon Tyne. Divided into two sequential exhibitions, the component parts respectively focus upon the themes of the harmonious RIFF, and the discordant RIFT.
