Pupils and their families from The Cedars Academy took part in BALTIC's latest Gateshead Stars project. Working with artist Kevin Meikle, the group explored the themes of journey, transformation and fusion.
The first work, Circular Square Journey of DOOM combines painting and drawing and recreates the image of a person embarking on an unknown journey.
'CEDARS' Because We Can! is a display celebrating pupils' ability to overcome barriers and do anything. It fuses patterns, shading and mark-making into a panelled representation of The Cedars Acedemy school badge.
