Celebrate the Bank Holiday weekend with BALTIC and create a landscape of colour inspired by French artist Daniel Buren. Take part in some light science on Level 1.

Make your own wooden boat and said it on a giant paddling pool outside on Baltic Square and take home as a momento of the day. Help us to make a sail for a 28ft boat which will be setting sail down the River Tyne on Monday. 

Suitable for children aged 13 and under and their family.

Kaleidoscope Making Workshop

Families can take part in a kaleidoscope making workshop in BALTIC SHOP with regional artist Kit Kingsbury. Make a personalised kaleidoscope by adding coloured beads and paper into the viewfinder and decorate the cardboard case. When the workshop is finished, the kaleidoscope  will be ready to take home.

Suitable for children aged 6+ accompanied by an adult.
