This first European retrospective presents more than 30 years of Lorna Simpson's work across the mediums of photography, film, video, and drawing. Born in Brooklyn, New York, Simpson became well-known in the mid-1980s for her conceptually rigorous and language driven large-scale works.

BALTIC SHOP has teamed up with Tatty Devine to host the region’s first Bunting Necklace Workshops at BALTIC this summer.
Make your very own unique necklace and pick the flag colours, necklace length and chain colour. The Tatty Devine team will be on hand to guide you through the techniques needed to make a stylish necklace and once the workshop is complete, the necklace will be yours to keep, take home and show off to your friends.
There are two workshops running during the day at 12.00 & 14.30. Tickets are £35.00 each, which includes the tutorial and materials, and are available to buy from balticmill.eventbrite.co.uk or in-store at BALTIC SHOP.
Younger participants under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult who has also booked a place.
